Rector & Parish Priest

Rev. Fr. Dr. V.K. Swamy is a Catholic Priest of the Archdiocese of Hyderabad since 1981, works for the upliftment of the poor, marginalized and the Minorities. He serves as Dean, Rector & Parish Priest of St. Anthony’s Church, Secunderabad since August 2018. His thrust is the community building and preparing youth for a good career.
He is General Secretary of TCBC (Telugu Catholic Bishops’ Conference) Commission for Education in Telangana- Andhra region, implementing the policy orientation. He holds B. Th (Bachelor of Theology), two doctorates in Education and in Management and three post graduate degrees with M.Phil.
Prior to this present assignment he had served in the field of Education, leading a School, Junior College and Degree & PG College for 30 years. He worked as the Director, Skill Development in TASK (Telangana Academy for Skills and Knowledge) in the Dept of ITE&C, Govt of Telangana for a period of 3.6 years before he took over the Parish responsibility at St. Anthony’s Shrine.
